I admit it, I don't hate Dolly Parton... but I don't really "hate" any artist, she's just the most overplayed and overrated in my opinion. This opinion was not born out of malice, but out of trauma. One weekend, me and a few friends were taking a trip to San Antonio. During the trip, we were staying at a friend's aunt's place in Austin. Now, I'd like to preface- I am not a morning person. But, so long as I'm left to a quiet space, I will wake up. Every... single... day... I had to wake up to Dolly Parton's "9 to 5," and it was absolute torture. I loath that song, and for that reason, its creator I also "despise," for Dolly ruined those precious mornings. I now find most of her works annoying.
